well, besides wait, you can shower with cold water or stay in cold atmosphere( blast the aircon, perhaps) since cold weather speeds up hair growth but some sites say hair growth in summer is faster,.

on the whole, you cant speed up the growth of hair, so i guess waiting is the only option,

I have the same problem! You should style your hair as less as possible because using product and styling tools cause breakage. Another thing you should do it take prenatal vitamins they are the best multi vitamin out there. Get some Coral Calcium vitamins as well if you take those over time you will notice that your hair growth has taken a step up.

Hair is like elastic and when wet is more prone to streching out and breaking.... Try to avoid brushing so much.... Use a wide tooth comb.... Massaging your head will help stimulate your growth also.... As for braiding your hair it's ok if you don't wear it that way all the time.... However this will not help it to grow faster, just helps keep it safer from the elments of life.... Just watch not to lean up against anything with your braid, will cause damage to the unraveled pieces :O) Anywhooo.... Good luck :O) Just a warning though.... There is NO fast way to grow hair long.... It takes time and patientce.... O and again NO PRODUCTS they will only hurt your hair in the long term.... ok, your diet has a lot to do with how your hair looks and feels. make sure you eat good fats (alvacados) and you dont smoke or drink too much.you need to shampoo and CONDITION your hair regulary. make sure you have the appropriate shampoo and conditoner for your hair type ex: color treated or dry/damaged hair. you will also need to get it trimmed so that it grows out nice and looks good. if you take vitamins and exercise that will help it grow a little faster.. good luck.

For one, get a hair cut. And style it spiked up, maybe even highlight the tips. And clothes wise, anything but really baggy clothes, that you half to hold up all the time. I don't see the point in having to hold them up while walking and then their boxers are showing, no one wants to see that. But if I were you, wear what you like, and don't worry about what girls like. Let them like you for who you are, not what you wear.

I had the same problem a while ago but the best thing for you to do is to use a brand called Olive oil, its like a type of grease. The best part is that it is not to heavy and it smells good.

They also have someting called sulfur 8. I reccommend this to anyone who wants to grow their hair quick. The downside is that it stinks. But if you use at night and then cover the smell with a nice smelling moisturizer then your good to go.

Another product i reccomend is Doo Gro they have a long list of products that help in the growth and health of your hair .They have a product called growth formula moisturiser and growth formula leave in condtioner.

If you use these all or one of these products maybe once or twice a day within a month im sure you will see growth. But incase you want to get maximum growth it is best you get box braids or any type of braid style that last at least for a month and then use those products and then you will definetly see a difference! Actually, that recently happened to a close friend of mine.

She suffered a head injury in an accident that required surgery, and all of her beautiful shoulder length hair had to be shaved off.

I know that she was very upset about losing her hair, but the important thing is that she'll make a complete recovery. That matters more than how much hair you have.

By the way, since her surgery she has been wearing a very natural looking wig, so except for a few friends and family who've seen her new "style", people aren't even aware of the difference.

Do get it trimmed every six weeks but I wouldn't wash it everyday... every other day if you can get away with it. Also, try to stay away from heat. Let it air dry and don't use a curling iron or a flat iron everyday, this will prevent it from getting so many split ends.

But the main key thing is just to make sure she laughs and enjoys her time. Talk about things she enjoys. Favorite book, or song, or hobby. Anything like that. Maybe in the middle of a conversation you could just repeat how beautiful you think she looks.

Advantages: It's like instant dreads.

Disadvantages: It is a chemical process. Dreads formed by perming often require professional maintenance. Cost, $200-$400!

Instructions: Save your money. Find a salon that does dread perms.

Twisting

Advantages: It is all natural. You have control over the size of the dreads and how they form. Many salons are familiar with this method and the cost is usually much lower than a dread perm.

Disadvantages: It only works in African textured hair but that doesn't mean salons won't try it on Caucasian hair!

Instructions: Hair should be sectioned into squares. Square sections make round dreads. Between 1" and 2" squares works well for most people. Smaller sections make thinner dreads. As you section the hair you can secure each section with a rubberband. When the whole head is sectioned twist each section clockwise using a comb to snag the hair at the ends and twist. As each section is twisted dread wax should be worked in to hold the twists. Thick waxes without petroleum hold the hair much better when starting the dreads. After the dreads mature thinner waxes can be used to add fragrance and sheen. Rubberbands can also be used at the roots and tips to hold the hair for the first couple of weeks. Be sure not to attach the rubberbands too tightly, nice and snug will do the job just as well and should not break any hairs. Hair should be twisted by hand regularly to help it lock up.

Dreads can also be started in short black hair without sectioning by hand. The hair can actually section itself. To do this you need short curly African textured hair about 1/2" thick. Take a soft bristled brush and rub it gently in clockwise circles on the surface of the hair. As you rub the hair will magically form little nubs or balls of hair. These little nubs can be twisted by hand into dreads. Twisting and working in a little bit of thick dread wax will help them hold together and mature much faster. The nice thing about these sections is that they are chosen naturally by the hair and for this reason they dread nicely by themselves as they continue to grow..

The longer the hair the better. You can twist the hair with beeswax or a product called Twist %26amp; Lock. It comes in a white plastic jar with a purple top. The MAIN THING is to have someone section the hair for you unless you are really good at parting. The parts will determine how the dreads will hang. I suggest going to a professional hairdresser for your initial 'dreading'. Maintenance is easy.

I have had long hair for 30 years and it still shines and as for yours ok, check it out, the longer your hair the more it straightens because of the weight and if you comb hair straight back and trim the ends of every six months you will find it grows faster and the ends you cut are mostly in the back that is why it grows faster in the back and MOST IMPORTANTLY I am 47 years old and my blond hair goes to the center of my back its shiney and I eat lots of jello at least once a day jello has something that works great on hair I recomend long hair to a any one. I really like long hair on guys if it suits their face. My husband is growing his out and he made it past that awkward stage---finally! It drove him crazy. He uses hairspray, gel and ponytails to get by while it is still growing.

Do not cut it unless you are going to a big event like prom or are getting married. Remember it grows from the root. Give it time. My husband has been growing it for a year and half and has had no trims!!! It is to his shoulders and is beautiful.

Use leave in conditioners, gel, straightening iron or other products but do not cut it. It will not help you and will discourage you from growing it long.
