NO Not Belgian Malinois, the Malinois is the SHORT HAIR variety. Little lesson, there are 4 Varieties of the Belgian, AKC on recongnizes 3. The Belgian Malinois, The Belgian Tervuren, The Belgian Sheepdog (Groenendael) and the Belgian Laekenois.

Probably a Belgian Tervuren or Belgian Sheepdog (Groenendael). It most countries they're listed as varieties of the same breed (as well as two other varieties). The only difference is the color of the coat. Tervs have brown/fawn coats while Groenendaels have solid black coats. And, of course, German Shepherds can come in either color.
